Ill Manors is a music video based on the trailer of the movie named 'Ill Manors.' It is by Plan B, a British rapper who now joined the film industry. This music video demonstrates many stereotypes of teenagers and England. This video shows how some people are stereotyped. This also shows the ignorance of the government towards young teenagers and how this has lead to the behavior of teenagers portrayed in this trailer.

Media forms:
What techniques does the video use to establish the setting and engage the audience?
The video uses a very good pace for teenage females and males. As teenagers have a small amount of concentration, this music video won't get boring and they won't get tired of it. This music video it up to their standards. The lyrics are also very suitable for teenagers as slang is used.
The clip is very stereotypical as it portrays typical teenagers and the government and society's view of teenagers.
When Plan B says 'rich boy', he is referring to the government and politicians. He argues that their wealth has made them blind to point that they don't realise that that everyone is 'Broke in Britain.'

Media representation:
How is gender/age/ ethnicity represented in the video?
It is a very dominant representation. Drugs, alcohol and cigarettes are used the reinforce the typical stereotype of teenagers. He also tries to challenge the stereotype by showing some agreements. The mise-en scene is used to show many of the things carried by teenagers or used by teenagers.

Media institutions:
In what ways is the video typical of music videos and what values does it promote?
Firstly, this is a very typical music video Genre convention: editing, sound. The main character is the main rapper. This video is very anti-government and anti-establishment. This video is also supporting the working class as it's acting as the working class's voice.
This video has counter hegemonic values. It is saying that we need more equality and that we need to start treasuring values.

Media Audiences: Who does this text appeal to and why?
I think that it is very evident that this music video appeals to teenagers and working class. This video is very anti-government so anyone who feels like that something that are happening are wrong would really enjoy watching this video.
