2. Call of Duty video game trailer

In the trailer there is an war environment, this helps the audience know what the game is all about. There is mixture of lowkey and high key used in the trailer. This could've been used  to show that the game takes place during the day as well as the nigtht. There is a lot of cutting. This could connote that the game has a fast pace. All the shots are taken from different angles, this could go to show that there is a lot of exciting things happening in the game. This is a good way to promote the game. The trailer has a lot of light key lighting. This goes to highlight the amount of danger in the game. This makes the audience feel excited towards the game and make them look forward to it.

The game represents war in a different manner that war is usually represented in. In this game, war is represented as an acceptable thing. As something that men would find interesting. In a way, the game promotes and encourages conflicts to take the place. It shows the good side to war and conflicts. The trailer represents war and conflicts as being something acceptable in society and something that should be encourage more. It could be argued that the game encourages people to start wars and conflicts. The soldiers in the game are represented as doing something right as protecting their countries. Due to this fact, when someone Is playing the game they would feel as if they are doing a righteous thing rather than causing problems.

The trailer of this game is usual trailer. Most games produced contain some of the elements. Firstly, they all give a quick tour of the events that take place in the game. Secondly, they introduce the main characters in the play. Thirdly, the end of the trailer tells the audience about the release date of the game. This is essential as the audience need to know when the game comes out as they are all eager to purchase it. The trailer includes many typical elements to a game trailer. This is essential as the audience need to get all the key information from this trailer in case they want to purchase the game. In terms of Katz and Blumer uses of gratifications the audience would buy the game for the to escape and be entertained

It could be argued that this game is aimed at a younger audience. This is mainly due to the fact that younger audiences are the ones who go for games and purchase games. It is also strictly aimed for males. This is due to the fact of the male elements that it includes, such as blasts, explosions and other elements. These are just not things that attracts women's attention or catch their eyes so this game is strictly aimed for men. The game uses many techniques to draw the audience in. The biggest technique used is the making it seem real. The game is adapted in manner that the audience feel like they are inside a movie.

Guardian News Advert
The advert uses many techniques to make the audience get attracted. It shows that the Guardian can be accessed through a computer as well as getting through a newspaper. It shows that the information on the guardian can be accessed through phones, Ipads as well as computers. This shows that you don't necessarily need to purchase the newspaper to receive the information on the newspaper. It also shows that the Guardian is a company that interacts with you as the users are giving feedback and their personal opinions.

The newspaper is represented as a advanced newspaper. This is due to the fact that the newspaper is available on different things. It also represented as being a reliable source of information as what appeared on the newspaper were actual facts that took place. The newspaper is represented as being unbiased and represented as giving the truth. The guardian is also presented as being a source that provides information fast. This is shown through the fast pace of images of people receiving the information.

The advert advertises the Guardian as it shows that the Guardian is one of the newspaper that can also be accessed online. This is seen as an important fact as in today's society smartphones are seen as an importance therefore having this app makes it easier for many. This advertisement is promoting the Guardian newspaper as well as adverting smart phones and Ipads. There is synergy taking place.

Looking at this advertisement, we learn that this advertisement is aimed for an rather older audience. This is due to the fact that the newspaper is naturally read by more older's than a younger audience. The fact that the newspaper is accessible on smartphones and ipads probably makes this advert also aim for a younger audience as they are mainly the ones involved with smartphones and ipads.

Media Forms
The target audience for this is an older audience. This is due to the fact that it includes elements that would entertain an older audience. The purpose for this magazine is to inform people about the royal party that takes places. The effect of this magazine is that it causes the audience want to find out more about the royal party. The angle that the picture was taken in was a from the front, this is essential as the audience can see it from up front. Using Hall' theory of readings, it seems that the preferred reading of the text is that the royal family are portrayed as being important as their celebration is made public. The codes and convection of this magazine makes the magazine look the way it looks. Firstly, bright colours are used that makes the magazine look attractive and eye-catching. There are many colours used in the magazine cover. This causes any aged group to be attracted by the magazine cover. The body language of the royal makes them look happy and celebrative.
The price tag for this magazine is very visible. This is due to the fact that the colour of the price tag contrasts and goes against the other light and lively colours of the magazine. The tittle at the top that reads 'the magazine of the year' attracts that audience and makes the audience want to see if it is worth of its title. There is nothing that shows that this magazine is famous, so the magazine may not show loyalty.

Media institution
News paper are in decline. This is due to the fact that the online, e-media and phones are over taking. Not many people go for print media anymore. People are more interested in the internet nowadays. Print media is declining. Its  being challenged by e-media. Most young people would rather be involved with e-media. This is because of the latest phones, laptops and TV's . However this newspaper cover looks more like a website. This is a good things as people wouldn't mind reading the I newspaper.  Some of the features of this magazine makes it look more like a website rather than making it look like a news paper. This is a good thing as this news paper won't have to be in competition with other institutions. This magazine looks like a website due to the colours. The colours really stick out and grab anyone's one attention.

Media audience
Our understanding of audience classification now tells us that psychographics are much important than traditional classification. Katz and Blumber talks about the Uses and Gratification theory claiming that the audience use media a variety f purposes including Diversion, personal identity, surveillance, personal relationships. Using this theory the audience are more likely to look at this newspaper to be informed about what is taking place in London and around the world. Using the Marxist the theory the audience know that this magazine makes the white people look very peaceful and look like they are just having a simple celebration. The psychographic aimed with this News paper are the explores as they would want to explore and see what kind of lifestyle the royal people live.  The demographic for this newspaper would probably be D/E. This is due to the fact that the newspaper is really cheap therefore anyone can afford it.

Media representation
Britain is represented as a calm and tranquil place. This is due to the fact that the royal family are just celebrating without harming anyone. The fact that this party is a 'street' party makes the audience feel that the royal family are trying hard to include everyone in this party, this shows unity. The white group are the ones being represented in this magazine. They are made to be peaceful people. I think that this specific group was chosen because they wanted to change the audience idea of white people. The stereotype used in this magazine is that  white people are the 'good guys.' Everything in this magazine makes the white people (royal family) look peaceful and not causing trouble for the society. An Marxist reading of the magazine would be that the audience are being told how the royal family live their lives. The hegemonic reading of this newspaper is that the white people are the positive people and rational people.

Broadcast
In this interview, Bruce Willis talks about how he feels that the script. He mentions how he feels that the characters are chosen wisely and the backgrounds are just right. This interview focuses on the film. It doesnt specifically talk about Bruce Willis as a person but more as a character of a GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD. i think that this interview is very good as it is promoting the film by telling the audience what the film focuses on and what the main characters in the film are. This interview is a perfect way of promoting the film. I think the target audience for this interview are young adults, as this programme is usually viewed by that aged group.

E-media
https://twitter.com/DieHard
The twitter website for the film is a website created to promote this film. It is very good as it lets the audience interact the audience as the audience can mention them on their tweets. It also features some pictures of the film. This is very important as the audience are able to view some pictures of the film to see what the film also looks like. The user of this film's twitter has many tweets. This is important as the people who followed it are able to see what is happening with the film.

Print Media

This is the promotional poster for the film. This poster is a very good poster as it portrays the main character of the film. I think the colour used for the poster is a perfect colour to demonstrate the genre of the film which is action. Also, i think the font used for this poster is very good. I think the colour used (black and red) are very good as it also portrays the genre for this film. I think that the fact the main character has bruises on his face also makes the audience now what kind of film it is. The mixture between red and black is also good.

   en-gb.facebook.com/DieHardMovies
The website features description of the film. This is very important and essential as people who are not aware of the film can learn more through the description.
It also has a 'like' button, this is important as people can like it so they will receive additional information of the film. It also features the studio used for the production of the film. ;This is very important as people can see where the film was created from. It also shows the amount of people that have liked the website. A social networking site is essential as the audience can interact and give feedback. This is essential as the audience can interact with the production team. They can tell the team what they've liked about the film and what they feel should be improved

Sunday 17 March 2013

This is a form of promotion through Broadcast. This is a interview to Bruce Willis. In this interview he talks about the movie. There are also some movie scenes shown through the interview. He talks about how there are many 'fires' 'things blowing up' and many other things that are expected in action films. He talks about his character's relationship with the son in the film. From this interview, the audience are aware that in this film the main characters are the father and the son. This fact is made a apparent as Bruce Willis mainly mentions them two. Clevver Movie is the institution responsible for this interview. They are an institution that focuses on movies and holds many interviews. I think the audience for this interview are a educated audience.

This the film's promotional poster. The poster is very essential. It shows that the film is an action movie by having fire for the background. The guns in the poster also reinforce the films genre. The colour used for the writing is grey, red and white. The usage of red is very essential as it shows that the film is an action film. I think that this poster is aimed at a young audience as they would be the one's attracted to it. The difference between this and the interview above would be the audience. The interview is aimed at a slightly older audience that is very educated. They are also similar as they are both trying to promote the film using different methods.

 http://www.diehardmovie.com/tickets

The website of the film is very good. It includes some videos of the film for the background. This is to let the audience now what takes place in the film beforehand in order for them to decide if they want to watch the film. It has a link to tickets that can help people get tickets to watch the film. It has a link to the trailer, this is so the audience are aware of what to expect from the film. It has a link to photo booth. This is important as it helps the audience see pictures related to the film.  On the corner of the page there is the link to social networking sites such as: twitter, Facebook, and Youtube. For a movie to have a website is essential. This is because the audience need to get more information. It is also important for the production team to be able to interact to the audience and to get feedback.

The website is an E-media form of promotion. It is a very essential way of promotion this is because it attracts a younger audience. A young audience is more likely to be attracted to internet-related things. The trailer shows many scenes picked out of the film. Lowkey lighting is used to show what kind of genre the film has. This form of lighting is important for this kind of film. Action films cant include high key lighting. This is because the film needs to be darker in terms of the background to portray an action film. The clothes that are worn by the characters also reinforce the film's genre. The costumes are also very important. The kinds of clothes reflect on the characters personality and the films genre.

This is due to the fact that Ill Manors had a £ 100, 000 budgets to make this film whereas A good day to die hard had $92,000,000 budget to make the film. This shows the differences in resources that both films received.

Iconoclastic, take-no-prisoners cop John McClane, for the first time, finds him on foreign soil after travelling to Moscow to help his wayward son Jack - unaware that Jack is really a highly-trained CIA operative out to stop a nuclear weapons heist. With the Russian underworld in pursuit, and battling a countdown to war, the two McClanes discover that their opposing methods make them unstoppable heroes. There are  dcb.

There are different codes and conventions in the play. There are many low angle shots and low-key lighting to show what the genre of the movie is. Codes and conventions are used to show that the film's genre is action and that it may include some dangerous scenes. The characters costumes show what kind of genre it is. Most of the male’s characters are wearing jeans to show that this is an action film. The lighting also demonstrates what the genre of the film is. The film's lighting is very dark to show that the film is an action film.  The language used in the film is simply English. No complicated words are used or slag. This makes the film convenient to watch for any age group.

To conclude, there are different codes and conventions used in the film. Codes and conventions are essential in order for the audience to know what type of film it is. There are different similarities and differences within and across the platforms. All the three platforms help the audience gain more knowledge about the film as well as Plan B. In this film, Plan B tries to propose and alternative ideology that's not the dominant ideology. He tries to show the audience the 'dark side' the is not shown in the society through the media. Who are the key institutions involved in promoting the film and how are they involved?

The main distributors for Ill Manors include Revolver Entertainment and Benelux film distributors.   Revolver Entertainment is a marketing-lead, all rights film distribution company. Founded in 1997, the company has operations in both London and Los Angeles. Benelux Film Distributors (BFD) is a joint venture of various independent film distributors and markets a wide range of films in Cinemas in the N Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.Ill Manors" was released as the album's lead single on 25 March 2012. The track was premiered by Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1 on 27 February 2012.
ll Manors was released in the Netherlands on 30 August 2012 by Benelux Film Distributors and was also screened at the Toronto International Film Festival and the Festival do Rio in September 2012. Ill Manors was released on DVD on October 8, 2012, and contains footage that was not broadcast at cinemas. Ill Manors was greenlit for production in 2009 as part of the Film London Microwave scheme. The trailer for Ill Manors was first aired on The Guardian's website on 3 May 2012, whilst the first film poster was first unveiled by Empire magazine's website on 8 May 2012.Digital Spy also unveiled two further promotional posters on 18 May and 7 June 2012. promote the album, Atlantic Records partnered with live stream production company LoveLive to deliver a live stream event of the album launch party to YouTube. This movie was also promoted via viral marketing.  Videos of the trailer and music videos were put on YouTube and the movie was promoted through Facebook and twitter.

How do they use each platform tor each their target audience?

The film is promoted using print media. One of the ways the film is promoted is through bill boards. Bill boards help the film become more known as bill boards are able to reach many people. Another way the film is promoted through print media is using magazines and film reviews. Film reviews either recommend or discourage people from watching the film. If its recommending people to watch the movie, it can increase the amount of people that are attracted to the film and that go and watch it. It is important that the film isn't only promoted through e-media. This is because the are people who do not use the internet, so they need to be informed through print media. Print media can reach far more people. The film is also promoted through broadcast media. This is as its promoted through things such as DVDs, interviews, TV and radio programmes. Ben Drew has attended many interviews and been to many programmes to promote the film. He is increasing the audience's knowledge about the film. The film is also promoted through Broadcast Media. This is through interviews so the audience can increase their knowledge about Ben Drew and his work.  He was invited to many programmes and TV shows, this is all done in order to increase his popularity so the audience would be able to be more aware about his work.

How do they use technological developments to provide new audience experiences?
Love Film and Netflix are used to promote the film and to help the audience watch the film at home at their comfort. Social Networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter are used to interact with the audience. It helps to receive feedback about the film and to know the opinion of the audience. The audience can also talk about how they think other productions should be. Networking sites can be very helpful when it comes down to interacting with the audience. It helps increase the audience's knowledge of the film. It helps the production team learn more about what the audience would possibly want to see in future productions

Has piracy impacted on the construction/ distribution of the film/DVD?
Piracy has had a major impact on the film industry for years. Film are recorded illegally then sold for cheap in order to get a profit. I don't think that piracy has impacted on this film in particular. It takes place with Hollywood movies as people are willing to buy it for cheap illegally rather than cheaper films. This is why I personally don't think that this film was particularly effected by piracy.

Now think of how the institutions behind the film are working across the 3 platform?

Print- Print media is very essential when it comes to attracting adults, who are part of the Ill Manors audience. Most of adults are still attracted to Print Media as they feel like its something they need to take part in. This is why they are more likely to be attracted by print media.
Broadcasting: Using this platform to reach the audience is an important. I think its very essential and effective. I think that the TV and radio are able to reach the target audience. Men from the age of 18-35 are more likely to watch broadcast and to be attracted by it. They would be interested in broadcast such as the Jonathan Ross Show
E-Media-  I think that this platform is also essential. This is because the audience for the film are mainly active on the internet. They are more likely to use the internet far more than any other age group, so promoting the film through e-media is very important as they can see and get attracted to the movie.

How are the characters/ stars in the film represented in?
Print Media-
This magazine shows some images from behind the scenes. "A lot of people outside this environment don't believe it exists," he continues. "So in the film, rather than glamorise it, I'm trying to say to people this is the true, dark reality. This is what happens. It's not cool. No drug dealer really has the last laugh' In this quote the audience feel that Ben Drew is a genuine person and that he is actually trying to show the real 'dark' side of this.

Broadcast media- taking the Tedx Lecture as an example Ben Drew is represented as a respectable man. He looks like someone who takes the council kid’s to heart. He talks about how he wants to give council kid a chance. He mentions how they are seem badly due to the media and often described as ‘chavs.’ He comes out in the lecture like a white man who truly takes these kids as an importance to society. This lecture makes him look more mature as he is talking to a slightly older audience.
He talks in way that makes the audience feel that he is  genuinely concerned about these kids. He mentions that the reason why they are the way they are is because they came from 'negative family environments' and that is the reason why they are the way they are. Ben Drew is trying to be a father figure to the kids.

  http://www.illmanors.com/
E-media- on the website of Ill Manors, Ben Drew is represented slightly differently than the lecture. He seems more like an ambiguous man who wants his work to get recognised. Similarly, he also talks in a manner that makes the audience believe that he takes young teenagers to heart and that he truly cares for them."My reason for making this film is to show that there is a lot we can learn when we know all the facts; when we explain the why – not just the 'what' and 'how' From this quote we can understand that Ben Drew truly wants to show the world that there is more to everything.

Now look at what values and ideologies are communicated within these representation
There are many ideologies represented through the platforms. Ben Drew is represented as having many values such as putting teenager. Ben Drew is represented as having concerns about the future of these kids. He is represented as white man who tries to make this place a better place for council state kids. The audience are able to represent themselves. They are able to put their says and ideas about the film and Ben Drew work as either comments if it's through Facebook or tweets if its through twitter. This gives Ben Drew an opportunity to see what people feel about his work and to see what they think he could do to improve his work. This helps Ben Drew improve and satisfy the audience more and more. This is only possibly done through social networking, which is a very essential method to be used for the promotion of the production.

Now think of how the film communicates with audiences across the 3 platform?
The actors and characters are represented differently. The main character is represented as having weaknesses unlike the other character- this shown when he takes the baby out of the train to help the baby. Different characters are represented differently. I think that Ben Drew is trying to reinforce the ideologies and by reinforcing them he is challenging them in a very intelligent manner. He makes the black characters in the film be the ones involved with drugs and having a thug life. Surprisingly, in this film, the white characters are also the drugs dealers with this lifestyle. I think what Ben Drew is trying to say that regardless of skin colour, many people are involved with drugs and have this kind of life style and it is not because of the fact that they are black. This movie challenges the dominant ideologies and shows the 'dark' side of everything. He shows that in the society we live in many people are involved with this lifestyle and its not because of the colour. It is because the society is neglecting the needs of these people.

THIRD SLIDE

3. How do the audience access the text across the 3 platforms?

Who are the target audience and how do you know?
The target audience for Ill Manors are mainly males from the age of 18-35. This is due to the amount of swearing that goes on in this film. The swearing isn't appropriate for people younger than the age of 18. The reason why this film is more suitable to men than women is because of the inappropriate scenes which women would find rather vulgar.
How is the film promoted to its audience through:
Print- Print media is very essential when it comes to attracting adults, who are part of the Ill Manors audience. Most of adults are still attracted to Print Media as they feel like its something they need to take part in. This is why they are more likely to be attracted by print media
What type of audience does each platform reach?
Print media- it reaches an older audience, mainly males as they older males are more likely to keep up with the print media.
Broadcasting- Its more likely to reach middle aged people as they are more likely to take interests in programme's and radio channels.
E-media- more likely to reach a younger audience. This is because a younger audience is more likely to use the internet and keep up with any developments
Who are the producers aiming to appeal to through this platform and how are they doing it?
I think that the producers are mainly trying to appeal to a younger and middle aged audience. I think that this is because a young and middle aged audience is the main audience for the film so they need to focus on them and try to attract them. The producers are putting far more pressure on the E-media and broadcasts, as it will reach the main target audience for the film.
Does this platform allow the audiences to participate or interact with the film? How?
I think that these two platforms allow the audience to interact with the film, mainly e-media. This is as they can put up comments about the film and give ratings. they can see the Ill Manors video and give responds to how they viewed the film, and give their opinions on the film. This is very helpful as the producers needs to see how the audience view the film and their opinions on the film. In other words, the public's view on the film.

Now think of how the producers are communicating with the audiences across the 3 platforms?
I think there are differences in the audience gratifications offered across the 3 platform. There are different audience. For example print media is for the older audience as they are more likely to comprehend from print media rather than anything else. E-media is essential to get to a younger audience as they are more likely to get attracted to the internet and things that include the internet. Broadcast is more likely to get to get to a middle-age audience as they are more likely to keep up with radio channel's and programme's.
Are the producers widening their appeal through their cross platform approach?
I think that they are as can reach different audiences, such a younger audience, middle aged audience, and an older audience. Different usage of platforms are able to reach different audience to increase the public's knowledge about Ill Manors and Ben Drew's work.

Audience theories you could research and applyThe demographic audience that's being targeted for this film is C1-E due to the violent scenes and the sexual language  This film is mainly targeted for males. The ethnic group that's targeted is black and white as this film would fit both. The psychographic group thats aimed at is reformers, mainstreamers, and  strugglers   This is because this movie demonstrates escapism, security and entertainment.

SECOND SLIDE

How are the texts in the three platforms constructed?
Print:

Ill Manors is promoted through promotional posters. Many posters are sent around to increase the audience. The posters function is to let more people know about the film so they can become attracted to the movie and maybe go watch it/ Purchase the DVD. This poster shows the film's characters, the films name and the ratings. All these are included to let the audience know facts about the movie to increase their interest towards the film. Posters are very important and essential when it comes to promoting a film through Print Media

Broadcast (TV/RADIO)

One of the way Ben Drew is promoting his film is through Broadcast. He attended many interviews and shows. He was doing this in order to increase the public's knowledge about him. What he is trying to achieve by attending so many interviews and shows is to increase the audiences knowledge so they can look into his work such as Ill Manors. This helps the audience learn more about the film and watch it. By doing this, the film increases in the viewers and becomes more popular.

The website is used to promote the film through E-media. The website helps the audience gain some knowledge about the film Ill Manors, It features many things such as the trailer, which shows the films trailer to let the audience see some scenes from the movie that are very likely in attracting them. By clicking on the synopsis, you are able to read the storyline of the film, this is included to help the audience know what they are gonna watch beforehand. There's also a link to Ill Manors Facebook and twitter website. This is for the audience to keep up with Ben Drew's work and find out more about the film.

Now look at each platform individually:
What type of media language does the platform use? Identify the codes and convention of that platform
Print media will give a review of a new film, provide information about the cast, certificate and will often include an interview with a star/ director. Most of the print media productions, such as magazines, include the audience's reaction and critics towards this film. This is to help the audience know the reactions of others so they can judge the film and think if they want to watch the film. There are also pictures of the movie and maybe pictures from behind the scenes, this is included to make the audience want to read more about the article and see how the production of the film was going. The audience who are most likely to be following what articles say are more of an older audience. This is because they are more likely to be effected by it.
Broadcast is another method to promote the film. Broadcast includes radio channels, programmes and interviews. This helps the audience who are not exactly following print media to find out about Ben Drew and to find out more about the film. A more younger audience would be attracted by broadcasts, so this platform and method of promotion is more likely to attract a more younger audience.
The last platform is E-media. E-media is a method of promotion through the internet. This could include the Ill Manors website: http://www.illmanors.com/, blogs, online articles. This platform is very essential as in the society we live in, nothing can spread information faster than anything else.
Now think of how the film is being promoted across the 3 platforms: What are the similarities?
What are the differences?
Similarities: They all have the same functions, to promote the film. They all reach different aged group audience. They are all affective in different ways. They all increase the audience's knowledge about the film and Ben Drew. They all help the audience's reputation improve and helps the audience consciousness  about the film. They are all made by the producers to help the audience learn more about the film. They begun to go around before the film so that people knew about the film before it was out. Differences: Print media is more likely to reach an older   audience. E-media is more likely to reach an younger audience. Broadcast is more likely to reach an middle-aged audience and maybe a young audience as well. They are all different platforms used to reach a different kind of audience in order to increase the audience knowledge about the film and to teach them about Ben Drews values and ideas about the society we live in.

FIRST SLIDE:

Film media In context: PRINT MEDIA
-The film is promoted using print media.
-This is an example of print media. This magazine shows a review of the movie. In this review people are recommended to watch the film as its 'shredding light on what hip hop's about'. The author of this review is recommending whoever is reading the Empire Magazine to go and watch this movie and as they believe its a movie that's worth watching. It is very essential for the film review to be positive and to encourage people to watch the movie. If the film review was negative, it would reduce the amount of people that decide to watch this film, and this could highly affect the films reputation.
-

This is an example of a bill board used to promote the film. This bill board is promoting the film as its showing an image of the film, the name of the film, who produced the film and who has produced this film. It is essential that a bill board shows when the movie is available to be watched, as this helps people be informed about the movie if they decide to watch it. Bill boards can be very affective when it comes down t promoting films or programmes. This is because bill boards can be used in different locations in order for them to reach more people.

BROADCAST MEDIA
The film is also promoted through broadcast media. This is as its promoted through things such as DVDs, interviews, TV and radio. Ben Drew has attended many interviews and been to many programmes to promote the film. He is increasing the audience's knowledge about the film.
In this interview, Ben Drew talks about how although he was kicked out of school, he does not lack knowledge. He mentions his values, and says that hip hop is misinterpreted by many people. He mentions that riots are taking place because children are not 'parented properly.' They feel like they are not worth anything, they leave the house and feel worse because of the media. He also mentions that he 'can see' the problem. He talks about how teenagers are misunderstood. He also mentions the celebrities that he's met. Interviews about Ben Drew are very essential as they increase the peoples knowledge about him and increase their knowledge about Ben Drew and his work.
In this interview Ben Drew talks about his video Stay too long. He mentions how his video is different from everything hes ever produced , he says that the only side he's shown before this video is the hip hop rap side. He felt that when he began rapping he had to be a 'certain' way but now that's going to change. He says that he doesn't need to be that way. He says he didnt feel comfartable enough to show his other side.  The reason Ben Drew has been attending many interviews is to promote his music and promote his film as well. This is known as synegy.

E-MEDIA:
E media is an essential way to promote films. This is because in the time we live in, the internet gets through to a bigger audience. E media is really important as this film is aimed for teenagers and e media is an essential way to get to them. An example of the usage of e media to promote the film is the website of ILL MANORS. The website features the trailer, synopsis,

http://www.illmanors.com/#scene-1

The Ill Manors website is an example of the promotion of Ill Manors through e-media.

Print Media is not instant and free like E-Media
In today's society, E-media is able to reach far more people than print media.  There aren't many people who purchase print media anymore, as they can receive as much information from the internet. The internet is much faster, it can reach far more people, and its way cheaper. People are able to receive more information from the internet than things like newspaper. Due to the development of E-media, Print Media is threatened as the only people who still use it are older people rather than younger people.
TV is becoming less dictated by scheduling (skyplus), more and more specialist channels, competition from the likes of YouTube.
There is a lot of competition between the TV and YouTube. This is mainly due to the fact that in today's society young people are more likely to be on the computer than sit on the sofa to watch some TV. Less people are now following the schedules of TV programme's as they can watch everything they want on the computer whenever they want to. The TV now needs to compete with internet as the internet has far more viewers than the TV.
E-Media is hard to police (piracy) ; people are bombarded with information; social networking and increasing audience participation (user generated content)
The internet is very hard to police as there is a lot of piracy taking place. People receive way too much information from the internet, as anyone is able to post anything on the internet. People tend to receive way too much information on the internet. There's also an increase usage of the internet thanks to the development of social networking.
CHANGING TECHNOLOGY
Many people are now adapting to the changes in technology. Many people are now purchasing the latest inventions and more people are now aware of the changes in technology. People are now beginning to rely more on technology than anything else.
Changing the audience behaviour
The audience are more open to the changes in the technology. The young are more likely to purchase the latest. This is due to the fact that they are more open to the idea of changes. The older people  are less likely to be very open to these changes as they find it more hard to understand how to use it and how to make it work.

FOCUS GROUP TASK 5 Vinisha - ' needs a twist to the storyline’ From this comment we learn that our programme is already there. We need to have something that gives it some kind of twist, something that makes it different and original from everything else that’s already out there. Hamza - ' I'm happy with the timing and schedules, I like the idea that the show plays on weekdays as well.’ This comment is good as we learn that people are satisfied with our timing.
