Media Forms
The target audience for this is an older audience. This is due to the fact that it includes elements that would entertain an older audience. The purpose for this magazine is to inform people about the royal party that takes places. The effect of this magazine is that it causes the audience want to find out more about the royal party. The angle that the picture was taken in was a from the front, this is essential as the audience can see it from up front. Using Hall' theory of readings, it seems that the preferred reading of the text is that the royal family are portrayed as being important as their celebration is made public. The codes and convection of this magazine makes the magazine look the way it looks. Firstly, bright colours are used that makes the magazine look attractive and eye-catching. There are many colours used in the magazine cover. This causes any aged group to be attracted by the magazine cover. The body language of the royal makes them look happy and celebrative.
The price tag for this magazine is very visible. This is due to the fact that the colour of the price tag contrasts and goes against the other light and lively colours of the magazine. The tittle at the top that reads 'the magazine of the year' attracts that audience and makes the audience want to see if it is worth of its title. There is nothing that shows that this magazine is famous, so the magazine may not show loyalty.

Media institution  
News paper are in decline. This is due to the fact that the online, e-media and phones are over taking. Not many people go for print media anymore. People are more interested in the internet nowadays. Print media is declining. Its  being challenged by e-media. Most young people would rather be involved with e-media. This is because of the latest phones, laptops and TV's . However this newspaper cover looks more like a website. This is a good things as people wouldn't mind reading the I newspaper.  Some of the features of this magazine makes it look more like a website rather than making it look like a news paper. This is a good thing as this news paper won't have to be in competition with other institutions. This magazine looks like a website due to the colours. The colours really stick out and grab anyone's one attention.

Media audience
Our understanding of audience classification now tells us that psychographics are much important than traditional classification. Katz and Blumber talks about the Uses and Gratification theory claiming that the audience use media a variety f purposes including Diversion, personal identity, surveillance, personal relationships. Using this theory the audience are more likely to look at this newspaper to be informed about what is taking place in London and around the world. Using the Marxist the theory the audience know that this magazine makes the white people look very peaceful and look like they are just having a simple celebration. The psychographic aimed with this News paper are the explores as they would want to explore and see what kind of lifestyle the royal people live.  The demographic for this newspaper would probably be D/E. This is due to the fact that the newspaper is really cheap therefore anyone can afford it.

Media representation
Britain is represented as a calm and tranquil place. This is due to the fact that the royal family are just celebrating without harming anyone. The fact that this party is a 'street' party makes the audience feel that the royal family are trying hard to include everyone in this party, this shows unity. The white group are the ones being represented in this magazine. They are made to be peaceful people. I think that this specific group was chosen because they wanted to change the audience idea of white people. The stereotype used in this magazine is that  white people are the 'good guys.' Everything in this magazine makes the white people (royal family) look peaceful and not causing trouble for the society. An Marxist reading of the magazine would be that the audience are being told how the royal family live their lives. The hegemonic reading of this newspaper is that the white people are the positive people and rational people.
