Colour
The colours used are black and grey. This connotes the negativity in this poster.
These colours could represent a painful part of his life.
These colours aren't ideal for an advert as it is dark and not persuasive.
Framing
The text, ‘I am what I am’ connotes that he isn't afraid of showing who he is now. This could suggest that he used to hide his true self before, but not anymore.
The fact that the text and his face are given the same size shows that the lyrics are as important as he is.
The fingerprints on the corner suggest that he’s been arrested before. This explains his pose and the fact he isn't smiling.
Size
The size of the text, ‘I am what I am’ is one of the first things we can see. I think that this is really important as being you is what the advert is about.
The size of 50 cent is really big and quite dominant.
The rebook logo is not big enough to be seen. I think that it’s a mistake as the audience can’t see the logo.
Shot
The shot is a close of 50 cent. This is perfect as it shows his facial expression.
Using 50 cent for an advert is ideal as he has many fans.
Subject of Matter
The subject is 50 cent. I think that the text is supposed to show that it’s never too late to change or to wear Rebook.
The fingerprints are also another subject. I think finger prints are included to show that even if you are in trouble, it’s not too late.
Setting
The fingerprints have no background. This is done to let the audience focus on the fingerprints.
50 cents background is black. This is done so the audience can focus and so he stands out.
Lighting
The posters lighting isn't very bright, this could suggest negativity
Low key lighting is used. The light is only focused on half of 50 cent’s face. This could symbolise the changes his made in his life.
Pose
We can’t tell whether his sitting or standing.
He seems really angry as he isn't smiling or anything
