The two trailers I chose are 'Rebecca' and 'Sinister.'

The film 'Rebecca' is directed by Alfred Hitchcock. The beginning of the trailer is really catching and ideal. We firstly get a shot of the house to let the audience know about the location of the film and the setting. Sadly, we don't have many trailers doing this anymore. Trailers firstly introduce the characters in the current trailers I've seen. We then have a zoom in. The camera then follows a path through a mysterious forrest. I think that using a point of shot  is a good technique as the audience feel like they are the one walking. We then get a quick change of scene into a book named 'Rebecca' This causes tension as the audience doesn't know about the book and who Rebecca might be. We then have someone opening the book and light hits 2 particualr line. The shot used for this is a close up, this is to let the audience read. There's then a shot of someone, a guy of class, walking towards a lady. Panning takes place in 00:53 as the camera follows the lady going down the stairs. There's then a sudden change of scene and we go back to the book. Only this time a different line is lighten up. There's then a shot of the man and lady from earlier hugging. This lets the audience know before hand that they will have a relationship. We then get a shot of the house with low lighting as we see many shadows. In the minute: 1:30 we get a shot of the man and the women in the car. This is followed up by a shot of them in the resturant. This lets the reader know that they will have a stronger relationship. In the last second we see 'Rebecca's' name again. This causes tension and makes the audience question.

The second film I chose is Sinister. At the beginning of the trailer we get a shot of a family. The shot makes it look as if the family is only a memory, we then get a quick change of scene where we see a family drawing. We then a zoom in of  a house. The audience are shown the text '9 months later' then we get a shot of the house again. Only this time someone is moving in the house. For a bit we are shown the fmaily moving in.  In 00:49 we see the old family happily playing from an old camera. We then a change of shot were we see the same happy family hanging.  We then get quick shots of many events taking place. The quickness emphasises on the horror.
